We want to extend our thanks to all of our mutual-aid partners who assisted with the mill fire on Saturday, May 16.

Departments from across Outagamie, Brown, and Calumet counties came into Kaukauna to provide equipment, personnel, and rehab services. Appleton Fire Department provided fire coverage for the rest of our city, and Gold Cross Ambulance provided EMS support.

This teamwork and coordination helped make it possible for us to answer 19 fire and EMS calls that day. We could not have done this without the support of our neighboring agencies. This is what neighbors helping neighbors looks like. We are grateful for the professionalism, cooperation, and support of the following agencies that helped on Saturday:

Appleton Fire Department
Town of Buchanan Fire and Rescue
Outagamie County CERT
Combined Locks Public Safety
De Pere Fire Rescue
Ellington Fire Department
Gold Cross Ambulance
Grand Chute Fire Department
Harrison Fire-Rescue
Hollandtown Fire Department
Kimberly Fire Department
Vandenbroek Kaukauna Fire Department
Little Chute Fire Department
Outagamie County Communications Center - 911
Wrightstown Fire Department

Hopefully all are doing well after this weekend. 🧑‍🚒 We are reaching out to request assistance in uncovering the city's hydrants to ensure they are accessible in the event of an emergency. 🚨 Let's also extend a helping hand to our neighbors. By exposing hydrant outlets, we can pave the way for the community to thrive. A quick reminder to businesses: please ensure that we have clear access to your Knox Box and FDC’s.
