With the dry conditions continuing, please remember no outside burning. To Check the status of the burn ban you can call the automated system at 469-595-8899. If you applying for an outdoor burn permit, you will not be able to activate the permit until the burn ban as been lifted.

A Burn ban is now in effect for Kaufman County for a period of 90 days.

You cannot activate an open burn permit during a burn ban. Outdoor burning is prohibited at this time.
