Kaufman County Behavioral Health Leadership Board This board will meet monthly to discuss programs, funding, projects, etc.

The Kaufman County Behavioral Leadership Board was established to provide advice and leadership to the County's efforts in addressing the Mental Health issues that are a growing concern across the entire nation. that will improve the County's response to mental health issues our citizens are facing. This process will also include issues discovered through the courts as individuals need mental heal

th support. The board consists of stakeholders in our community who strive to make recommendations to improve the planning, coordination, oversight, and implementation required to create systems of change for mental health services for Kaufman County residents.

Please join NTBHA for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) and other classes this month. Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. All classes are free for Texas residents. Once again, we are at maximum capacity at the Forney Animal Shelter. If you have thought about adopting, we welcome you to come up and meet our adoptables! We welcome 501c3 rescues to tag/pull, and can transport!! Fostering also saves lives!!

This group is for anyone who feels a loss related to a significant life event. This group will be addressing losses that are often unrecognized by society and are therefore not acknowledged as grief experiences. If you aren’t sure if this group is for you, give us a call and we will be happy to listen to your story and help you decide.
There is no fee for this group. You may attend as many sessions as you wish.
