🚨 EMERGENCY ALERT - GAS LEAK – EVACUATION IN PROGRESS 🚨

The City of Kaufman is responding to a gas leak in the area of 2005 S. Washington Street (Washington Square Shopping Center).

An evacuation of the immediate area is currently underway. Please avoid the area and do not enter the evacuation zone to allow emergency crews and utility personnel to safely respond.

Residents and businesses in the affected area should follow the instructions of emergency personnel and evacuate if directed.

We will provide additional information as it becomes available. Please share this alert to help notify others in the area.
