🚒🔥 Kaufman VFD ESD #1 Fire Response 🔥🚒

This afternoon, your Kaufman VFD ESD #1 firefighters were dispatched to an unknown-type fire off CR 114.
Tactical Tender 2 and Tactical Tender 3 responded and arrived to find an illegal brush fire that had gotten out of control, burning approximately 4 acres of grass and heavily wooded area.
Tanker 1 responded to provide additional water supply, while Brush 3 was dispatched to assist with fire suppression. Kemp VFD was also called for mutual aid and responded with a brush truck.
Our firefighters worked hard to get the fire under control and protect the surrounding property.

Another mutual aid call to assist our neighbors
Terrell vfd with grass fire on Zagota lane that threaten some homes. Tactical Tender 2 one of our 1000 gal large brush units and Tanker 1 our 3000 gal unit for additional water supply responded to assist while additional volunteers stood by at our station 1. Here is Tender 2 hitting hot spots and assisted with mop up.

🚒 Kaufman VFD ESD #1 — Overnight Mutual Aid Response

Around midnight, members of the Kaufman Volunteer Fire Department ESD #1 were called to assist Dallas County with a large grass fire off Burns Road off Beltline Road.
Tanker 1, our 3,000-gallon water supply tanker, responded to provide much-needed water support to the crews working the fire.
Our crew returned around 6:00 this morning after an overnight response.
We are thankful that, to our knowledge, there were no injuries reported. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the firefighters, property owners, and everyone involved in this incident.
A long night, but another job of serving our communities and helping our neighbors.

KVFD currently operating on the Corky Fire in Van Zandt County assisting their firefighters. Tactical Tender 2 our 1000 gal large brush unit is working with other Kaufman County responders from Elmo, College Mound, Mabank and Terrell VFD. Your remaining KVFD personnel remain in our response area to respond to other calls. This fire is now 300 acres. Please pray for safety for all responders

🔥 ANOTHER GRASS FIRE CONTAINED! 🔥
Your Kaufman VFD ESD1 firefighters responded to another grass fire this afternoon in the heat.
Approximately 2 acres burned, but our firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control and, most importantly, keep it from reaching a storage hay area and nearby barn. 🚒🔥
Units responding included Brush 3, Tactical tender 3, and Tanker 1 for water supply.
Great work by our firefighters protecting lives, property, and our community! 💪🚒

🔥 HOT & BUSY AFTERNOON FOR YOUR KAUFMAN VFD ESD 1 FIREFIGHTERS 🔥

It was a very hot and busy afternoon for your Kaufman VFD ESD 1 firefighters, responding to four grass fires across the area. Temperatures reached 105°F with a heat index of 112°F, making an already demanding job even more challenging.

🚒 Our crews responded with the Kaufman City Fire Department to a grass fire near FM 1390 and Hwy 175. At approximately the same time, another grass fire was reported on FM 1390.

The City Fire Department was able to get the first fire under control with Engine 1, while Tactical Tender 3 responded to the second fire on FM 1390.

🔥 A third grass fire was then reported on FM 2578 near CR 286. Brush 2, Brush 3, and Tanker 1 responded, and mutual aid was requested from our neighbors at Scurry VFD and Terrell VFD.

Crews worked together to contain the fire, which burned approximately 1 to 1½ acres, including a heavy mesquite patch.

🚒 The final call of the afternoon was a mutual-aid response to Scurry VFD for a grass fire off FM 1388.

Thankfully, no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our firefighters who worked in extreme heat today, and to our mutual-aid partners from Scurry VFD, Terrell VFD, and Kaufman City Fire Department. Your teamwork and dedication make a difference when our communities need us most.

🔥🚒 ANOTHER BUSY AFTERNOON FOR YOUR KAUFMAN VFD ESD #1 FIREFIGHTERS! 🚒🔥

Your Kaufman VFD ESD #1 firefighters had another busy afternoon, responding to multiple grass and brush fires and providing mutual aid to our neighboring departments.

Our crews responded to a 10-acre grass and brush fire in mutual aid with Kemp VFD and Mabank VFD. The Texas A&M Forest Service also responded with a dozer crew, and three KVFD units assisted with the operation.

While crews were working, we were then called to assist with a hay field fire off CR 4017 alongside Mabank and other responding units. Kaufman responded with Brush 3, Brush 1, Tender 3, and Tanker 1.

We also provided assistance to the City Fire Department on a grass fire at US 175 and FM 1390, where approximately one acre burned. Kaufman responded with two brush apparatus.

🔥 Multiple fires. Multiple departments. One goal — protecting our communities.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our firefighters and neighboring departments who answered the call, put in the work, and helped keep these fires under control.

Busy afternoon for your Kaufman VFD ESD1 firefighters another hay field fire from cutting operations that struck rock and ignited the cut hay
Brush 1, Tactical Tender3 our large 1000 gal brush unit and Tanker 1 our 3000gal unit for water supply. Direct attack on the fire is requiring substantial water and foam application to fully extinguish the fire. We also assisted the City FD with brush fire and then responded to lawn mower that caught fire while mowing taller grass and was destroyed. No injuries on any of the responses.
