Wishing Michelle a very happy retirement! After 35 years of dedicated service with the District Clerk’s Office, where she concluded her remarkable career as Chief Deputy Clerk, she leaves behind a lasting legacy. Michelle has been such an important part of our department, and her contributions will not be forgotten.

As she begins this new chapter, we hope she enjoys every moment spent with her family and grandchildren. She has certainly earned this time to relax, celebrate, and create many more special memories. Congratulations, Michelle—you will be greatly missed!

A caller posing as a Kaufman County Justice Center employee, telling residents they missed jury duty and must pay a bond via Bitcoin to avoid arrest

THIS IS A SCAM!

The Kaufman County District Clerk’s Office will never call to demand payment or ask for Bitcoin, gift cards, or any electronic payments pertaining to jury duty.

Remember:
• No payments are requested by phone
• Bitcoin and gift cards are never accepted
• Don’t send money or share personal info with unknown callers

If you receive a call like this, hang up and report it to Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office at 469-376-4500
