Join us for Free Rabies Vaccine Day at the CAP Cornelius Clinic! We want to help as many pets as possible get protected, so please share this post with your friends, family, neighbors, and fellow pet parents in Houston and surrounding areas.

🍓 Jam & Jelly are still waiting for their happily-ever-after! 🍓

Their sister Marmalade got the best news on Saturday — she was adopted! ❤️

Now these two sweet girls are hoping it’s their turn to find a family of their own.

Jam & Jelly are 3-month-old shepherd mixes, spayed females, weighing around 20 pounds. They’re playful, silly, and absolutely love to romp around together. 🐾💕

But puppies are meant to be growing up in a home — not a shelter. They deserve cozy beds, toys, belly rubs, and families who will love them for the rest of their lives.

Marmalade found her people. Now Jam & Jelly need someone to choose them. Could that be you? 🥹❤️

🍓🍊 JAM, JELLY & MARMALADE ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES! 🍊🍓

Meet the sweetest little trio! Jam, Jelly & Marmalade are 3-month-old Shepherd mixes, weighing about 20 lbs each. All three girls are spayed and ready to find families to call their own. 🐾❤️

These sweet babies came to us with demodectic mange and have been treated. Now they just need some time, patience, and lots of love while their skin heals and their beautiful fur grows back.

Despite everything they’ve been through, these girls are just the sweetest babies. 🥹 They deserve a cozy home where they can feel safe, loved, and spoiled while they finish their healing journey.

Labor Day Closure Notice

We will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

If you have an animal emergency, please contact the Katy Police Department for assistance.

The City of Katy will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

City offices will reopen and resume services on Tuesday, September 8th.

🗑️ GARBAGE COLLECTION: Garbage routes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be combined, with all collection taking place on Tuesday, September 8th.

Residents should place their garbage at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to ensure collection.

We hope you enjoy the long weekend and take some time to celebrate the hard work and dedication that keep our community moving forward. Happy Labor Day!

Our Animal Control Supervisor K. Loewen spent the day at Miller Career and Technology Center Vet Med Program speaking to 5 different classes.

❤️ Pupdate ❤️

A year ago we had a sweet pup named Silas (now Boone) who was adopted by a lovely family. His adopters sent us photos and an update on how he’s been doing!

“We adopted Silas a year ago today! We changed his name to Boone, and he is doing great! He’s great with our kiddos and the cats. We love him so much!”

We love hearing that our dogs and cats that have been adopted are living their best lives!
