Fort Bend County Democratic Party Response to Candidate Daniel Wong The Fort Bend County Democratic Party releases the following statement regarding the campaign speech by Daniel Wong at the Fort Bend County Courthouse on the indictment of Fort Bend County Tax Assessor Carmen Turner:
"In the words of GOP stalwart Karl Rove, "The GOP's stables need a cleaning." The illegitimate, unelected, and illegal usurper of the County Judge's office is the root of corruption in Fort Bend County. He is the cloud of which he speaks. Due to his illegal occupation-and when he is finally evicted--the Commissioners Court will have to go back to June 17, 2026 and revote every single vote the Commissioner's Court took, costing taxpayers untold thousands of dollars. His use of consultants to get around County policy to pay an active Congressional Candidate as his Chief of Staff and former Fort Bend GOP Chairman as Communications Director will also have to be recouped. # # #
