I am so thankful to those who supported me this entire campaign. While we did not come up victorious we were united in a firm belief that we must care for ALL students, support our teachers and clear the path for parents to make choices for their own students. I did not walk this journey alone. More than 3,000 Katy voters walked along with me. For this I am so very much grateful. What is next? We wait and watch to see how our newly elected Board act to see what they truly believe. Being a Board member is a thankless position but it is the one they earned. I pray for them to have the strength to do what is right for All and not for some. Our children, our teachers and our community deserve it.

I understand that races can get political. What I didn't expect, was for people to stoop so low as to steal my campaign signs and distribute mailers defaming my character. We are better than that. I refuse to set this type of example for our kids and we all should agree to do the same.
