Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps KBHVAC is the primary provider of basic emergency medical services in the Katonah and Bedford Hills area. Volunteers support the community 24/7/365.

Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit all-volunteer organization providing emergency medical services to the local community. We respond to your emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are dispatched to over 900 calls annually, and we respond regardless of circumstances, at all hours and in all weather conditions.

This week’s KBHVAC training focused on the building blocks of EMS: vital signs and vital skills. From mastering patient assessments to refining hands-on techniques, our members continue to sharpen the skills that help us provide the highest level of care when our community needs us most.

A great training at ROAM Further Athletics, where their team welcomed us into their parkour gym to run a series of EMS scenarios.

Crews worked through a tight space rescue, patient removal from under a bench, a waterbed scenario, and practiced using a stretcher and stair chair on steep stairs and ramps.

We wrapped up the training with a little fun, many of us even tested out the trampolines and equipment.

Thank you to ROAM for having us and helping us sharpen our skills in a unique environment. 🚑
