Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps KBHVAC is the primary provider of basic emergency medical services in the Katonah and Bedford Hills area. Volunteers support the community 24/7/365.

Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit all-volunteer organization providing emergency medical services to the local community. We respond to your emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are dispatched to over 900 calls annually, and we respond regardless of circumstances, at all hours and in all weather conditions.

38 combined years with KBHVAC and even more spent serving others.

This month, meet two of our volunteers who joined KBHVAC in the month of September: Bruce Yablon & Frank Fuhrman!

🚑 Bruce Yablon
Bruce is celebrating 14 years with KBHVAC as an EMT and driver and an incredible 42 years as a NYS EMT! When he’s not volunteering with us, Bruce works as a Donor Coordinator at LiveOnNY and has also spent the past six years volunteering as an auxiliary police officer in NYC.

🚑 Frank Fuhrman
Frank is celebrating 24 years with KBHVAC! He serves as a driver and Chair of our Mentoring Committee, helping guide and support fellow members. Outside of KBHVAC, Frank works as a Technology Consultant.

Different backgrounds, different roles, the same commitment to showing up for their community. 💙

When you see a vehicle with a flashing green light, please safely pull over and let them pass. That’s a volunteer EMT or ambulance crew member responding to an emergency and every second counts.

See green. Give way. Help us answer the call.
