PENNY WARS UPDATE

Well then… the leaderboard just got interesting.

Mrs. Grange has officially entered her Penny Wars ERA with a HUGE 1,997 points and has taken the #1 spot!

Here’s where everyone stands:

Mrs. Grange — 1,997
Mrs. Brock — 104
Mr. Simmons — 67
Coach Masters — -11
Mrs. Morris — -72
Dr. Antley — -158

Pennies + dollars = points
Silver = points deducted

And remember… this isn’t just about bragging rights!
The admin who finishes with the highest points will get the ultimate PENNY WARS PRIZE… A PIE IN THE FACE!

Will Mrs. Grange hold onto that #1 spot? Will Brock or Simmons make a comeback? Or will someone else swoop in and steal the crown?

There’s still plenty of time to change the game, so keep those pennies coming and those silver coins working!

Update! Picture makeup day has been moved to Wednesday, September 30th in the auditorium lobby 1st-4th periods.

Seniors only: Senior formal/casual makeups have not changed- they are still scheduled for 9/14 at VHS. The specific time slots for that will be forthcoming.

Day by day, the competition is getting more exciting! Mr. Simmons is still holding onto the lead with an impressive 430 points!
Our other admins are working hard to make their move, and the scores are definitely keeping things interesting!

What a GREAT start to the school year at the Veterans High School Media Center! ❤️💙

August was busy, and our numbers show just how much our Warhawks are reading, learning, exploring, and connecting in the V!

📖 1,101 books checked out
🎧📱 300 SORA e-books & audiobooks checked out — that’s 102 hours of reading!
📚 53 new books added to our collection
👩‍🎓 895 individual students visited during the school day
🏫 30 classes visited for orientation & book checkout
💻 700+ Chromebooks issued to new students
📱 32 students connected with SORA

WOW… Mr. Simmons came out swinging! With a whopping 478 points, he is the clear leader after Day One! Mrs. Brock is holding onto 2nd place with 4 points, while Coach Masters (-11), Mrs. Grange (-12), Dr. Antley (-27), and Mrs. Morris (-72) are already feeling the silver coin struggle!

Remember: Pennies & dollars = Points!
Silver = NEGATIVE points!
So choose your coins wisely, because every penny counts and every silver coin can change the game!
