It’s good luck when a butterfly lands on you, right? 🦋

This is a hackberry emperor, one of the more common species you can find around the park during the summer. In its bright green caterpillar form the hackberry emperor eats… hackberry leaves! No surprises there.

This one will live for a couple of weeks, playing a very important role as a pollinator.
