At PCBS, we talk a lot about services, supports, programs, and resources.

But at the heart of all of it is something much simpler: people.

People pursuing goals.
People building friendships.
People finding their place in the community.
People supporting one another.

Every day, we're fortunate to witness stories of resilience, growth, connection, and belonging throughout Platte County.

Those stories are the reason we do what we do!

Some of us from PCBS had the chance to attend the Rock for a Cause on May 30, benefiting Northland Connections, Inc. and Neuro Diverse City, and what a night it was!

Neuro Electric kicked things off and absolutely brought the house down! Their energy was contagious, their talent was undeniable, and let's just say our Mobile NDC team is already brainstorming ways to collaborate with them in the future.

Then CF Rock & Roll R***e took the stage and turned the fun up to eleven! Their high-energy performance of 70s rock favorites had people on their feet, singing along, dancing, and having an all-around great time.

Great music. Great people. Great cause. We love seeing our community come together to support inclusion, connection, and opportunities for all!

The PCBS Marketing Team and Mobile NDC Team is having a great time sponsoring a table at the Platte City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Golf Tournament today!

What a wonderful opportunity to connect with local businesses, community leaders, and friends while sharing more about PCBS, Mobile Neuro Diverse City, and the work being done to support individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Platte County.

Thank you to the Platte City Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting another fantastic event. We always enjoy the opportunity to network, build new relationships, and spread awareness about the programs, services, and partnerships that help make our community stronger.

And of course, a little friendly competition, some golf, and a lot of laughs never hurt either!

One of the highlights of our spring was helping bring Share Your Story to life alongside some incredible partners.

Thank you to everyone who shared their voice, listened with an open heart, and helped create meaningful conversations around inclusion, belonging, and community. Check out this wonderful recap from UMKC Institute for Human Development!

💬 Stories can change how we see each other and ourselves.

Author, educator and disability advocate Rebekah Taussig (author of Sitting Pretty) joined UMKC-IHD WeSaid team members, advocates, educators, service providers and community members this spring for "Share Your Story: Building Inclusion — One Story at a Time."

Hello June!!

What Does a Meaningful Summer Look Like to You?

Everyone's answer will be different.

For some, it might be spending time with friends at an event. Or grabbing a coffee at the BEST local coffee pop-up in Platte County. For others, it might be trying something new, learning a skill, volunteering, traveling, or simply enjoying a favorite hobby. At PCBS, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a personally meaningful and connected life.
