“If you have a little free time, I can’t recommend volunteering with Road To Recovery enough.

One of my most unforgettable passengers was a man who had lost his sight and was now battling cancer. His sense of humor was unmatched. We’d both laugh when he’d chime in from the back seat to tell me I’d missed a turn! His awareness of the world around him was incredible. He always knew exactly where we were." – Karen B.

“In 2004, I was treated and cured of melanoma. Since then, I have been treated six additional times for squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma.” – Kathy O.

Kathy’s journey is a powerful reminder of how common skin cancer is and how important it is to protect our skin at every age.

☀️ Just five blistering sunburns before age 20 can increase your risk of melanoma by 80%.

Help protect yourself and those you love:
🧴 Apply sunscreen daily
🧢 Seek shade and wear a hat, sunglasses, and long sleeves
🔎 Pay attention to changes in your skin and don’t delay seeing a doctor
