The Park Hill High School Counseling Department is comprised of six counselors, two social workers, two registrars and two administrative assistants and we're all here to help! Please don't hesitate to contact one of us through email, phone or in person. We love to help our students in any way we can!

Permit Academy is designed to help soon-to-be drivers feel confident and prepared for their Missouri permit exam. This class covers the Missouri Driver’s Guide, rules of the road, defensive driving basics, occupant restraints, road sign recognition, and includes practice written tests.
Classes will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 5:00–9:00 p.m., with both in-person and virtual options available. The cost is $40 per student, with limited in-person seating.
Adults may attend virtually only.
This course is for students seeking their permit only—no behind-the-wheel driving instruction will take place. In-person classes will be held at the KCPD North Patrol Community Room in Kansas City. Registration is available online at www.stjoesafetycouncil.org.

The Platte County Fair is looking for its queen, and whoever wears the crown will not only have the privilege of representing the oldest continuous county fair west of the Mississippi at the State Fair competition in August, but also receive a scholarship opportunity and money for college.
