Summer learning begins Monday, June 1!

KCKPS students will have the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and exploring all summer long through engaging academic and enrichment experiences. We are excited to welcome students back for a summer filled with learning, connection, and fun as we continue working to support success beyond the school year.

Starting in June, Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools will offer free summer meals for students at KCKPS locations and community partner sites throughout the summer.

No application is required for eligible youth participants.

Community partner meal sites include:

Parkwood Pool

Tuesday-Friday | June 2 - July 31
Lunch: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Snack: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

We were so excited to see some of our former little Lions yesterday! These Lions graduated high school and are now all moving on to various colleges to continue their education! We absolutely loved getting to catch up with them, talk about old memories, and congratulate them on all their accomplishments! Remember, ONCE A LION, ALWAYS A LION! We wish all our Lions luck on their journeys, and we look forward to hearing about all of your futures! Come back and visit anytime, and remember to keep us all updated on your journeys! 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade awards assembly! Congratulations to these Lions for all their incredible achievements and their awards! It is so fun being able to celebrate their progress and recognize their great work! A big shout out to our 5th grade Lions as they move to middle school! We are so incredibly proud of all of you!!!
