2nd Grade Math: Our 2nd graders are working hard to understand that 3-digit numbers are composed of hundreds, tens, and ones. They are working together to decompose numbers.

🌟Smile🌟 Today was a big day for cameras! Our Huskies looked great for picture day! And, Dr. Kimbrel came today to present a Park Hill Star Award to Mrs. Katelynn Gore, Hawthorn 2nd Grade teacher. She was nominated for her fierce advocacy and unwavering belief in all students. Each month ONE elementary teacher is awarded a Star Award. Fourth graders are doing a hands-on activity with plants today! The first unit in their science curriculum is Plant and Animal Parts. Students first observe the different parts and structures of a plant. Then they describe or diagram how components of plants work together.
