Service. Leadership. Brotherhood. Sisterhood. πŸ’™

We're proud to have members of the Divine Nine represented among our Club professionals. Every day, these leaders bring their commitment to service, mentorship, and community into their work with Club youth.

Together, they're helping create safe spaces, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you to these outstanding team members for the impact they make on our kids and community every day.

⚽ A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Club kids!

Yesterday, we joined Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw, Councilwoman 5th District, Airbnb and community partners to announce that Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City & KCPS youth and coaches will receive tickets to experience the FIFA World Cup 2026 right here in Kansas City!

For many young people, opportunities like this can be life-changing. The World Cup is more than a sporting event; it's a global celebration that brings people, cultures, and communities together. We are grateful that our Club kids will have the chance to be part of this historic moment in our city's history.

An ENORMOUS thank you to Mayor Pro Tem Parks-Shaw and Airbnb for making this incredible experience possible for Kansas City youth.πŸ’™πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

πŸŽ‰ Meet the first-ever Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City Teen Interns!

This summer, a group of Club teens is participating in the 2026 Teen Internship Program through the General Motors STEM & Work-Based Learning Initiative.

Over the next month, these interns will receive training, develop STEM activities, create supply lists, and practice leading lessons before sharing them with more than 200 younger Club members. Best of all, they'll gain valuable workforce experience and be paid for their hard work.

We're excited to watch these young leaders grow their skills, build confidence, and make an impact on the next generation of Club kids. πŸ’™

You know it's summer when the kids are in the pool. β˜€οΈπŸ’¦

At the J&D Wagner Unit, Club members are cooling off, having fun, and making the most of summer. Along the way, they're also learning basic water safety skills and building confidence in and around the water.

Just another great summer day at the Club. πŸ’™

Last week, a group of Club teens visited Opus and learned about careers in the construction and development industry. The teens explored the roles of a Superintendent, Architect, Developer, and Project Manager, gaining insight into how each profession contributes to a project's success.

The teens also toured a newly constructed building, where they saw firsthand how the different roles work together to bring a project to life. To reinforce their learning, the teens participated in an interactive game in which they were given various job responsibilities and had to match them to the correct careers.

Experiences like this help young people explore career pathways, connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities, and imagine what's possible for their future.

Thank you, Opus, for investing in our teens! πŸ’™

Thank you to Sharon Chen and KCTV5 News Kansas City for highlighting an important issue facing young people today and for giving us the opportunity to share how Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City is helping keep kids safe online. πŸ’™

Technology creates incredible opportunities for learning and connection, but it also comes with risks. That's why we are committed to helping youth build digital skills, navigate online spaces safely, and make smart decisions while online.

We're proud to be part of the solution and grateful for the chance to share this important work with KC metro area families.
