What You Should Know About Measles

Measles is a serious and highly contagious respiratory disease. It spreads when a person infected with measles breathes, coughs, or sneezes.

Common symptoms include a high fever, runny nose, cough, and red, watery eyes. Usually, one to four days after these early symptoms, a red rash appears on the face and spreads to the rest of the body. Measles symptoms typically develop 10–14 days after exposure, but can appear as early as 7 days or as late as 21 days after exposure.

⚠️ If you or someone you know is showing symptoms, please CALL AHEAD before visiting an urgent care clinic or emergency room. This helps reduce the risk of exposing others and allows healthcare providers to prepare appropriately.
