Our Cross Country team competed on Saturday, 09/12, in the Olathe Twilight Race. Below is a message from our head coach, Yesenia Benjamin, about how great they all did.

The word that represents last Saturday is one of our 3 R’s - β€œresilient”. The whole team earned some PBIS points.

The race start times kept getting pushed due to lightning and racers were cold and shivering at the start line. Regardless of weather, we had some exciting results.

Please congratulate Senior Colton Hardy for winning his race and earning a first-place metal with a new personal record of 16:19.

Please congratulate the remaining Varsity Boys for their accomplishments as well:

Junior Kennan Beatty finishing 2nd for the team with a time of 17:47

Senior Clark Briggeman finished 5th for the team with a new PR of 19:12
Sophomore Silas Hughes finished 6th for the team with a new PR of 19:46

Please congratulate Junior Krischen Kennaley for leading the girls team with a time of 22:13. This is not a PR, but a season best by 2 minutes.

Freshman Isabella Morales finished third on the team with a new PR of 23:56

Tonight's PHHS vs. PHS football game isn't the only thing generating excitement around our high school!

Our Nutrition Services team started the day off right by serving football-themed croissants at breakfast. These special treats brought a little extra school spirit to the morning while helping students get energized for the day.

We appreciate our Nutrition Services staff for their creativity, care, and commitment to making every student feel valued. Best of luck to both teams tonight! 🏈πŸ₯
