The greatest way to make a difference and have our voices heard is through voting. With all that is going on across the world, it is crucial that we register to vote and familiarize ourselves with the candidates and their policies. Additionally, it is just as important to pay attention to local elections, including those for state representatives and senators. Above is a link for Missouri Voter registration where you will be able to check your registration status or sign up to register to vote.

On April 29th the students, faculty, and community members of UMKC joined several universities across the US in a peaceful encampment to advocate for justice in Palestine and demand divestment.

However, we were met with resistance from UMKC’s administration, who not only refused to engage with our demands but also resorted to aggressive measures such as confiscating tents and attempting to intimidate individuals from joining our cause.

Nevertheless, we will continue to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
