Wakefield Mansion

Wakefield Mansion The Wakefield home was built in 1904. Mr. WM H. Wakefield owned the Wakefield mantle and tile co. The home has a different tile in every room in the house!

We believe the house was a show place for the tile and mantles.

Staining trim for the library today. This is Minwax burgundy. It’s a water base product and took a little work to apply it properly. All of this trim is for three windows. Actually it’s the upper half of three windows.

Sanding a major load of trim. We are preparing to trim 2 windows in the music room and 3 in the library. We are making new window sills also. Each window has 34 pieces of trim. 13 above the sill and 21 below. This includes 4 corbels. The windows are 6’ tall and 4’ 6” wide.
