Storm Recovery Update: Road Closures

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office continues to work alongside the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), public safety partners, public works departments, and utility crews following the severe weather that impacted our area.

Crews remain active throughout Kane County clearing debris, addressing downed trees and power lines, and assessing roadway conditions. Temporary road closures remain in place as cleanup continues.

Current impacted areas reported by OEM include:

• Scott Road between Dauberman Road and Harter Road – Closed
• Route 30 between Dauberman Road and Dugan Road – Closed
• Granart Road and Camp Dean Road – Closed
• Bliss Road at Healy Road – Reduced to one lane; possible closure pending assessment
• Belmont Avenue in Elgin

Residents are reminded to:
• Avoid flooded roadways and never drive around barricades
• Use caution around cleanup crews
• Stay away from downed power lines
• Allow extra travel time
• Do not move or remove roadway barricades, they are placed for your safety and the safety of first responders

We appreciate our community’s patience and cooperation and thank our first responders, dispatchers, utility crews, public works teams, volunteers, and community partners who continue working through recovery efforts.

For emergencies, call 911.
For non-emergency roadway flooding, blocked storm drains, or tree cleanup, contact the Kane County Division of Transportation at (630) 584-1170 or your local Public Works department.
