Juvenile Suspects Sought in Kāneʻohe Arson Investigation

On August 4, 2026, at approximately 4:08 p.m., District 4 officers conducted an Arson 1st investigation after a vehicle was intentionally set on fire.

A 21-year-old man observed two juvenile males pour an accelerant on his parked vehicle in the store parking lot on Kamehameha Highway before they fled on foot. Shortly after, the vehicle caught fire.

Witnesses described the suspects as two Filipino male juveniles, approximately 13 to 14 years old.
One was wearing a red "Hawaii's Finest" shirt, while the other was wearing a black shirt.

suspicious individual. He has reportedly been entering private residential properties, going well beyond the entrance into enclosed areas of people's property, and reluctant to leave when directed to do so by the property owners.

In this incident, he went deep onto the property, became argumentative, and disruptive with a female resident after being asked to leave. He identified himself as a representative of Sunrun.
If you encounter suspicious activity or someone refusing to leave your property after being directed to do so, contact the appropriate authorities. HPD and SUNRUN have been notified
