The 2026 Tree and Shrub program for southern Utah areas is now available.
Turn in your order soon while stock is available. This year, you can even pay through Venmo.
If you wish to pick up your trees from THIS extension office in Kanab, please mark it clearly on your order form.
Order forms are available at the front of DMV (180 W 300 N), Lumber Plus, and Crosby's TOMORROW.

2026 Master Gardener Program is coming to town!
We are making some minor changes so that classes are now on Mondays and Wednesdays.
We are still teaming up with Iron County and Washington County to bring as many instructors in person to teach as possible and to hold as many hands-on workshops as possible.

2026 Master Gardener Program is coming to town!
We are making some minor changes so that classes are now on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Happy thanksgiving to all Kane and surrounding areas.
Before we gabble gabble and celebrate the harvest of this year, take time to register for the annual noxious weeds workshop on Dec 2 at the North Event Center, Orderville.
We will have catered hot food and 6 CEU credit for Utah and Arizona.

We have some frozen rain and even potential flurries for this Easter weekend. And there are concerns that’s would it hurt the bloomings and recently set fruit trees.
Here is a way to tell if you lost some or all of the fruit on your fruit trees this year. Also, below are some helpful links for evaluating frost damage.
For other small fruit crops and spring garden crops, you can search “your crop+variety+frost damage temperature” to determine if you need to cover or protect them

Applications for the 2025 Utah Pollinator Habitat Program close on April 15th! This program provides free native plants for awardees to create pollinator-friendly habitats that benefit native bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators. Eligible applicants must own or manage a minimum of 900 square feet of land to be converted into a pollinator-supportive space.
