When you join us for the Kalona Rotary Club’s Annual Omelet Breakfast, you’re doing more than enjoying a great breakfast, you’re helping support the people and organizations that make our community stronger.

Over the past five years, the Kalona Rotary Club has invested $28,707 into our community, youth programs, and global causes.

❤️ Community Impact: Supporting senior luncheons, the Kalona Easter Egg Hunt, the Quilt Show, Fall Festival and more.

🎓 Youth Impact: Supporting RYLA, Christmas family adoptions and Toys for Kids, and college scholarships for Mid-Prairie and Hillcrest Academy students.

🌍 Global Impact: Supporting Rotary’s fight against polio and providing aid for disaster relief, including the Maui fires.

🍳 And through our Omelet Breakfast, Rotary has provided more than $7,000 to local organizations including Nitro Softball, Kalona Historical Society, Golden Hawk Archery Club, Kalona Public Library, Mid-Prairie, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Gavel handoff today! Jeremy Ours, right, hands the gavel to Brian Overy. It’s official. Brian is the new President of Kalona Rotary for 2026-27.
Jeremy concludes his presidency. We greatly appreciate the leadership you gave to our club this past year. We had fun and did some important visioning work with you at the helm. Thank you for investing in all of us!

We were honored to host Alex Marinelli as our guest speaker today. He shared about the Hawkeye Wrestling Academy as well as his passion for mentorship and shaping the next generation of wrestling athletes.

Today we were privileged to meet District Governor David Cook! He shared his vision and ideas for clubs in District 6000.
He presented Bowen Yoder with an acorn from Rotary Founder Paul Harris’ Chicago estate to remind us that a small seed cane become thousands of forests.
He also congratulated our club as we enter our 80th year. We will celebrate our 80th club anniversary in November of 2025!

On Tuesday, July 2nd, the gavel was passed from Matt Brown to Bowen Yoder. Thanks, Matt, for serving our club as President this past year. Bowen, we look forward to the coming year!
Our youngest “member” Charolette was in attendance on Tuesday. She comes quite often during the Summer. Probably our best singer. It is always great to see you!
