🇺🇸🌳 In honor of Memorial Day, the Kalkaska Conservation District office will be closed on Monday, May 25th, so our team can spend time with their families and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

There are still plenty of awesome surplus trees to choose from at the Kalkaska Road Commission today from 10:00-12:00. Come on by!

If you pre-ordered trees, come pick them up! Thanks to some awesome volunteers, we have them all ready and waiting for you!

🌲Our office will be very quiet this week as the team is gearing up for our Annual Tree Sale. If you need to reach us, you may call or text 231-564-9055 or 231-564-9300. We will reopen for regular business April 27 at 9:00.

🌳 If you have ordered trees (or want to pop in to see what inventory we still have available), they will be ready for pick-up at the Kalkaska County Road Commission, 1049 Island Lake Rd., on Friday, April 24 from 12pm - 6pm, or Saturday, April 25 from 10am to Noon.

We had an awesome time last week at our Mushrooms 101 workshop with Great Lakes Mushroom Company! 🍄
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Justin and Tiffany for hosting. We’re also grateful to the Kaliseum for letting us use their space!

This interactive, hands-on workshop will teach you how to extract the beneficial compounds from mushrooms and turn them into products like chocolates, gummies, tinctures, coffees, teas, and more!

Here’s a list of extra inventory that will be available at Tree Sale Order Pickup at the Kalkaska County Road Commission:
-April 24 | 12 PM – 6 PM
-April 25 | 10 AM – 12 PM
Species in RED have less than 50 seedlings remaining (and will go fast!). Species in GREEN have less than 100 seedlings remaining.
Bundle pricing is in the second photo. Seedlings are sold in bundles of 5, 10, 25, or 100 (conifers).

First come, first served; no holds!
