Winter taxes 2025.
As we kick off the 2025 winter tax season here are some important dates and times you may need to know. Tax bills have been mailed out as of December 1st. The due date for this year is February 17th after that day there will be additional interest and fees applied. The treasurers office will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm (excluding December 25th and January 1st) until February 17th 2026. Also December 29th and March 2nd the treasurers office will be open from 9am to 5pm for tax collection. On March 3rd any unpaid taxes will be turned over to the county and will have to be paid at the county treasurers office. If you have any questions please call 231-258-2943 ext. 1. The Summer Tax season is here. Updated treasurers office hours for tax payments will be Monday and Tuesday nights from 5pm to 7pm beginning July 7th. Tax bills are on the way, please allow approximately a week for them to get through the mail. If you can't make it in for the regular office hours please know you can always mail in payment, or drop payment in the night drop box near the office entrance at the top of the stairs.

THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 28 from 9am-1pm, we will be at the former Kalkaska Recycling Center (904 Island Lake Road, Kalkaska) for our Annual Tire Recycling Event!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
There was a mistake on the spring cleanup flyers that went out. The bottom line regarding the annual meeting date is incorrect. The annual meeting date is Wednesday June 18th at 6pm. Not the 17th. The information went out in the newspaper with the correct date.

Memorial day ceremonies will be held at Maple Grove and Westwood cemetery this year on Sunday May 25th. The ceremony at Maple Grove will begin at 2:30pm. The ceremony at Westwood will follow at 3:30pm.
