Blue Lake Twp. Firefighters training tonight with on new Engine and our brand new Turtle EV nozzle to assist with cooling the thermal run away on batteries that are located on the underside of electrical vehicles.

Blue Lake Twp Fire Departments took delivery of our NEW Engine today. (Engine 4)
Firefighters will go through a very in depth Depth pump training class and drivers testing over the next 2 weeks. The New Engine is slated to go into service by Oct 1st.
Thank you again to the Blue Lake Twp citizens, the Township Board, CSI and all of our Firefighters.

Out with the old… and in with the new! 🚒

The Blue Lake Township Fire Department is excited to announce the arrival of our new 2026 Spartan Custom Fire Engine!

This milestone would not have been possible without the support of so many. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Blue Lake Township Board, our dedicated Truck Committee made up of Blue Lake Township firefighters, CSI Emergency Apparatus of Grayling, Michigan, and—most importantly—the citizens of Blue Lake Township. Your continued support and investment in our department have made this transition possible and will help us continue providing the highest level of emergency service to our community.

Our current 2001 Freightliner commercial fire engine will be taken out of service on September 14 as equipment is transferred to the new apparatus. Our new engine, proudly manufactured by CSI Emergency Apparatus in Grayling, Michigan, is scheduled to be delivered to Blue Lake Township on September 23.

While we are excited to welcome our new engine, we also recognize the outstanding service provided by our 2001 engine. Also built by CSI, it has faithfully served the residents of Blue Lake Township for the past 25 years. As one chapter closes, another begins, as it will continue its service with a fire department in Magnolia, Arkansas, where it will help protect another community for many years to com

New Hire!!!

Blue Lake Twp. Fire Department would like to welcome Martin to our Firefighting staff.

Martin comes to our department with a ton of experience from Cal Fire.
During his time in California Martin was a Captain in charge of structural & Wild land fires both in the Fire service and public sector.

County Road 612

The contractor will be working on County Road 612 between Blue Lake road and the Crawford County line today and tomorrow. The contractor is estimating that they will complete the paving by the end of day tomorrow.

Please allow extra travel time and use caution in all construction zones!!
