Su***de prevention isn’t just knowing what to do in a crisis, it’s knowing how we can support someone way before that moment of crisis ever arrives. Su***de is often connected to people’s environments, emotional health, access to care, and so much more. Prevention has to happen every day, in a million small ways. In systems that give people the care they need. In a society that treats people as fully human.

In just over a year, one TANF participant worked through barriers, found stable housing and employment, earned a promotion, and built greater financial independence.

Today, she is off TANF and SNAP, working full-time, and attending school to create even more opportunities for her future.

This is what support, determination, and opportunity can make possible. We are proud to be part of her journey.

To the students heading back to school, we hope this year brings new friends, new things to learn, plenty of laughter, and people who believe in you.

To the parents and caregivers, we hope the mornings are a little less rushed, the backpacks stay organized at least for a little while, and you remember to give yourself some grace, too.

To the teachers, school staff, bus drivers, counselors, and everyone else who helps make a school day possible, thank you for all you do.

The HEART Program is bringing school supplies directly to students at their own schools this year

Families can stop by the HEART Program table at their child’s school to pick up supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, glue, and other classroom essentials.

A great resource for Kalispell families! Kalispell Public Schools is offering FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL KPS students this school year — no application, qualification, or sign-up required.

Attention all Wolfpack Families!

ALL (and we do mean ALL) KPS students can enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch FOR FREE without needing to qualify or sign up this school year.

This includes all KPS schools (Edgerton Elementary School, Elrod Elementary School, Cornelius Hedges Elementary, Peterson Elementary School, Jeannette Rankin Elementary, Russell Elementary School Kalispell, Kalispell Middle School, Flathead High School, Glacier High School, and Linderman Education Center).

Please feel free to contact our district's Food Services Director, Christine Thelen at 406-751-3400 ext 3646 with additional questions. Please note, it is not necessary to participate.

If you have children who attend other schools NOT listed above, please contact them personally to inquire about their food service offerings.
