This community has shown up in a BIG way for Habitat Flathead during the Great Fish Community Challenge. Every gift is helping build the first homes of Grounded in Whitefish campaign, creating more permanently affordable homeownership opportunities for Whitefish families and workers. What does it take to build affordable homeownership in the Flathead Valley?

A lot of community support! It takes volunteers showing up, businesses and individuals donating materials and resources, and families working toward homeownership.

And we’re not slowing down. Through GROUNDED IN WHITEFISH, we’re working toward 100 permanently affordable homes over the next 10 years. The first FOUR are already under construction, and every gift through the Great Fish Community Challenge helps build the first Habitat homes in Whitefish in 15 years!

A better community doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built by people who show up and work hard.

Today, on Labor Day, we’re celebrating everyone who puts their time, talent and effort toward making the Flathead Valley community stronger.

The people who build.
The people who teach.
The people who care for others.
The people who volunteer, serve, lead, donate, organize, clean, fix, advocate and lend a hand.

There are countless ways to work toward the greater good, and every one of them matters.

🐟❤️ Nonprofit Shoutout: Whitefish Community Foundation! 👏

We’re grateful for the time, energy, and community-building that goes into making the happen! They have a pretty special way of helping our community show up for one another.

Through the Challenge, they’ve created a way for people to discover local nonprofits, learn about the work they’re doing, and make a difference with one gift. It’s a pretty amazing way to connect people with the organizations doing important work right here at home.
