Congratulations to Tom and Linda on their wedding! ❤️

This week, Habitat Flathead had the joy of celebrating one of our long-time Care-A-Vanner volunteers and his beautiful new bride. Tom has given so much of his time, talent, and heart to our mission over the years, and now he and Linda are spending part of their honeymoon serving together on our construction sites. 🏡🛠️

Construction update from Habitat Flathead! 🚧🏡

Steady progress is being made on the Railroad St. homes. The sites are prepped and foundations will be poured on Tuesday! Such an exciting milestone for these future homeowners... who are on site and working hard!

Construction continues to make great progress at both of our Columbia Falls projects!

On 8th St., painters are working on the 3- and 4-bedroom townhomes while infrastructure trenching continues. The 2-bedroom units are moving along quickly with interior painting halfway complete, flooring installation beginning in Unit B, and cabinets arriving this week. Siding is also expected to wrap up soon.

Over at Railroad St., both 2-bedroom homes are fully formed and receiving plumbing rough-ins. Insulation crews have arrived on site, followed by rebar and concrete work. The 3-bedroom forms will also be completed this week... soon pouring foundations!

We’re proud to see steady progress as both projects move closer to welcoming future residents home. 🏡

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, customer-focused, able to safely lift heavy items, and committed to supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

PART-TIME TRUCK DRIVER
Habitat Flathead ReStore is seeking a reliable Part-Time Truck Driver to pick up and transport donated furniture, appliances, and household items. Responsibilities include loading and unloading donations, supporting warehouse operations, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Partnerships like these help us continue building safe, affordable housing opportunities for families across the Flathead Valley. We’re grateful for the shared commitment to strengthening our community and helping local families thrive.

Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley has built safe, affordable homes for 109 adults and 161 children. As housing costs in the valley continue to outpace wages, that work has never been more important.

Our Kalispell team presented an $8,600 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) and its Member Impact Fund — a matching program that helps us invest more in the organizations strengthening our communities.

Habitat builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter — providing homeownership opportunities for qualified families who live and work in Flathead County 🧡

Here's how they're making an impact:
• Affordable homebuilding — now constructing over 4 homes per year across Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Lakeside, and Somers
• Homeownership opportunities — helping working families stay and raise their families in the Flathead Valley
• Flathead ReStore — a resale shop that funds construction while keeping home goods and appliances out of the landfill

🌿 Habitat Flathead Seeks Bids to Landscape Railroad Field Park in Columbia Falls 🌿

Habitat Flathead is excited to share that we have received a $7,000 Community Grant from the Whitefish Community Foundation to support the landscaping of the open space in our new Railroad Field neighborhood in Columbia Falls.

This neighborhood includes six new homes located on Railroad Street East and 4th Avenue EN. The open space faces Railroad Street, an area with steady traffic, making this a highly visible opportunity to create a welcoming and beautiful entrance to the community.

We are now inviting local nurseries and landscaping companies to submit proposals to design and install trees and shrubs for this space.
