Tune in next week…we’re filming the blast! 🎥💥 The saga of our 200-ton "Landfill Monster" is finally coming to an explosive (yet highly controlled) end!

During excavation for our 121-acre landfill expansion, crews uncovered an ancient giant standing roughly 16 feet tall, 20 feet wide, and weighing an estimated 150 to 210 tons.

Even our largest heavy excavators couldn’t budge it. 🚜

On Wednesday, September 9, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, licensed blasting specialists will use a controlled, low-vibration precision blast to fracture the titan down to size.

Here’s the breakdown:
• 🚗 No Highway 93 Delays: Traffic will not be impacted.
• 📦 Landfill Open: Daily operations will run smoothly without interruption.
• 🤫 Safety First: The stone is buried deep in an excavated pit and backfilled for maximum confinement, keeping ground vibration, noise, and dust to an absolute minimum.
• 🪨 Free Landscaping Rock: Once broken down, the fragments will move to the stockpile at the landfill, where the public can haul pieces away for personal use!

We’ll have our cameras rolling on-site to capture the action from a safe distance, so make sure to follow along and check back Wednesday afternoon for the footage! Drop a comment below if you’ll be watching...or if you want some of the rock afterwards! 👇
