Hey Fam,

Aaron Dickason II came by the historic Douglass Community Association the other day with LOTS of books for us to give to local youth - THANK YOU for these gifts that will keep on giving!

Said his TT Candace Moore inspired him when she did the same recently.

Annnddd, Aaron is the new Assistant Director of the Upward Bound Program at WMU 🎉🎉👏🏾👏🏾 - they have a free summer program for youth in grades 9-12, see flyer below.

Hey Fam,

The "gift" of literacy cannot be taken away once obtained...it is effectively analyzing, understanding, communicating and utilizing information across various contexts to function in society...

The historic Douglass Community Association applauds and stands in agreement with the organizations and individuals who/that promote and cultivate literacy in our community...

Shout out to Sis. Candace Moore (center) for the recent generous donation of books (even more than what you see here), from her and her family, that will be passed along to many in our community. 🙏🏿🤎

We are partnering with Public Media Network on a FREE Youth StoryLab Camp this summer - we are the place, they are teaching the skills - youth will create a 6-8 minute film on a topic of their choice.

Ooooo-weeee, the Let's Get It Let's Hustle w/Sandra pop-up session last night at the historic Douglass Community Association was the 💣!!!

A workout was had indeed learning/doing Flex, Back in the Day and Fireball.🔥💪🏾🎯
