The Friends Bookstore lists some of our more valuable or unusual books on the global online marketplace AbeBooks (bit.ly/FKPL-on-Abe). Your purchase is then shipped directly to you with free shipping on domestic orders. We have a great selection of children's foreign language books at the Friends Bookstore. Languages include Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Latvian, Dutch, Hebrew, Icelandic, Finnish, Italian, Arabic and more.

Please note that the library will be CLOSED ON MEMORIAL DAY, MONDAY MAY 25th, so we will NOT BE ACCEPTING DONATIONS during our usual open donation time that morning.

Our usual open donation times are as follows:
Mondays 10am - noon
Wednesdays 11am - 1pm
Saturdays 10am - noon

Downtown parking re-changes are finally implemented!

A reminder that the new downtown parking updates are now fully in place, including updated signage throughout Downtown Kalamazoo!

✔️ The first 30 minutes at paid on-street parking spaces are FREE
✔️ On-street enforcement ends at 5 p.m.
✔️ Base zones are enforced weekdays only, while premium zones are enforced Monday–Saturday
✔️ Sundays remain free on the street and in the ramps
✔️ Free first 90 minutes in public parking ramps continues

Downtown Kalamazoo is open and ready to welcome you. Come shop, dine, explore, and support local!
