We had an incredible first week at The Bob & Cindy Ezelle Club!

The Club was filled with energy, laughter, and excitement as youth jumped right into art, STEM, and gym activities, and started to build new relationships with their peers and our staff. We're so excited to be back in the neighborhood, serving the youth and families who make this community so special.

A reminder that today marks the opening of summer programming over at our Northeastern Club Unit! Our hours and days of operation are Monday through Thursday from 1-5 PM.

We're looking forward to this very busy, yet fun and engaging summer ahead of us!

Teen boys, we're bringing our open gym runs back for the summer at our brand new Club facility starting THIS Friday, June 12th from 4-8 PM! Bring your gym shoes, bring a friend, and join us for the first official open gym!

Check the flyer for location and time details. All Club and non Club members are welcome, we will have on-site free Club member registration available. We hope to see you Friday!

This past weekend, Club members had the opportunity to spend time with Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI) and Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA). At this bipartisan event, Club members learned about the federal budget and took on the challenge of balancing the budget.

It was a great learning opportunity for our Club members, as well as the chance to advocate for themselves, their peers, and their community. Thank you to the congressmen and Bipartisan Policy Center for a meaningful afternoon!

What a remarkable day for our organization and the community as a whole!

On Friday, we celebrated the grand opening of our new facility with a full day of events, beginning with a donor reception for some of our most generous supporters, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony with community leaders, local government officials, donors, partners, board members, staff, and friends of the Club.

That evening, we welcomed the broader community into the building for our Community Open House. Families, neighbors, alumni, and supporters came to tour the space, ask questions, and celebrate this exciting new chapter with us. We were especially encouraged to see parents signing their children up and sharing their excitement for the Club’s first official day open in the new facility.

Throughout the day, one thing was clear: Kalamazoo believes in its young people.

Today, Monday, June 8, our doors are officially open to young people in this new space.
