Centering Relational Power: a monthly praxis ground for white people to show up in these times

"Many of us have narrowed our visions and turned to protecting those we define as our own, our 'we,' reining in our ideas of who matters and who is deserving of our care."
~ Prentis Hemphill

Join us on June 18th from 6-7:30p where we will be focused on Disconnection: how white supremacy seeks to sever us from each other and our collective power.

Register below to join us and receive an email with some pre-reading materials.

As we move further into 2026, the intensity of the political landscape and world continues to rise, however, so does the power, creativity and potency of everyday people resisting together. To live into this vision of building a more Beloved Community, we need all of us. We are indeed all interconnected and when we center relationships we can build and act in collective power. Relational power reminds us and allows us to slow down in order to speed up inside of urgent times, to continue to center those most impacted, and to take risk for what we believe in.

Join us for our remaining sessions where we will gather, virtually, as white people committed to the work of racial justice as we practice how we are with one another, building relational power and taking action in relationship toward a more liberatory world for all.

Most people do not think twice about calling someone they love.

For families with a loved one inside the Kalamazoo County Jail, that call can come with a price tag, sometimes thousands of dollars a year.

Kalamazoo County is choosing a new jail phone contract right now, and that decision will shape what families pay for the next five years. The community should have a say in what that contract looks like, and we want to make sure families are heard in that process.
