Today we want to recognize Erin Phillips, our Administrative Assistant, for everything she does for the Oshtemo Township Fire Department.

Erin truly goes above and beyond for our department and our community. She is the backbone of our office, helping keep administration organized and moving forward every day. From budgets and purchase orders to scheduling, records, and the countless details that keep a fire department operating, Erin has a hand in all of it.

Her commitment does not stop at the office door. Erin is CPR certified and is also a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, helping families with proper car seat installation and child safety.

We are incredibly grateful to have Erin as part of our team. Her dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help wherever needed make a real difference every single day.

Simply put, we are not sure what we would do without her.

Consumers Energy is reporting 527 outages affecting 26,433 customers, with Oshtemo Township currently the largest area impacted. Crews are assessing the cause, and Consumers has promised an update by 11:15 a.m.

If you are using a generator, keep it outside and a safe distance from your home, and be sure your carbon monoxide detectors are working.
