A recent video we shared generated a lot of questions about “illegal window tint”. Here are the basics: 🚗Driver and front passenger windows can have window tint that allows 25% light transmission 🚙 All other side and rear windows can be as dark as you want 🚘 The windshield cannot have any tinting below the “AS-1” line. The photo shows an example of illegal window and windshield tinting.

Behind the Badge: Officer Kellie Oehmler👮‍♀️

When people hear “law enforcement,” they often think of danger, and sometimes that’s true. But the job is much more than that. It’s about showing up each day with a commitment to serve others, to protect those who can’t protect themselves, and to bring calm and reassurance during some of the hardest moments in people’s lives. 🤝

It means building genuine relationships within the community. Earning trust, listening, and being present in ways that matter. No two days are ever the same, and that’s part of what makes the job meaningful. It’s an opportunity to use my own life experiences to guide and support others when they need it most. 💙

All in all, this job is about connection. Strong relationships lead to trust, and trust strengthens communities. And strong communities are what make places safer and better for everyone. I’m grateful to do work that allows me to serve in that way and to contribute to something bigger than myself. 🌟

Off duty, I enjoy being active outside with different sports, spending time with my family and traveling. 🌎

Our very own!!!

We all know tomorrow is April Fool's Day, and there's no way we would associate law enforcement with that day, so we're announcing our Officer of the Month for April a day early.
Please join us in congratulating Officer Clay Sparks from the Justin Police Department, for being selected as 407 BBQ's Officer of the Month for April. Officer Sparks we appreciate your service to the community, and will have a 407 BBQ Blue Line cap and a gift card waiting for you at our restaurant.

⚾️🚓 First Responder Appreciation Night at Northwest High School was a home run!

Chief Brian Frieda had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Northwest High School softball game, celebrating the dedicated first responders who serve and protect our community every day.

We are grateful for partnerships like these that bring our community together and recognize the men and women who answer the call when it matters most. 💙

Thank you to Northwest ISD for the warm welcome and for taking time to honor our first responders. 🥎👏
