You may miss seeing some amazing critters during your next outdoor adventure if you don't look up once in a while. For example, this great horned owl perched high in a large slash pine along the walking trail at Cypress Creek South Natural Area in Jupiter. Visitors who only pay attention to what is right in front of them (or, heaven forbid, their phones!) can walk right by without noticing a large bird of prey looking down at them from a tree. Do not be that person the next time you visit a Palm Beach County natural area. Look up, down and all around to see the wonder of Mother Nature.
