🚗❤️ GET PAID TO HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS! ❤️🚗

We’re looking for Transportation Volunteers to help Dodge County residents get to medical appointments and other essential appointments when they don’t have a reliable way to get there.

The best part? We’re VERY flexible! 🙌

Volunteers use their own vehicle to provide rides during our service hours:
📅 Monday–Friday
⏰ 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
🚫 No weekends
🚫 No holidays

And you choose when you’re available. Even volunteering for a few hours here and there can make a huge difference for someone in our community.

💰 Mileage reimbursement: $0.76 per mile

That’s the current IRS standard business mileage rate, and with today’s gas prices, mileage reimbursement can help offset not just fuel, but the overall cost of putting your vehicle on the road.

Think of it a little like the flexibility of DoorDash: you use your own vehicle, choose when you’re available, and get reimbursed for the miles you drive—but instead of delivering food, you’re helping a local resident get to an appointment they may otherwise have no way to reach.

❤️ You get mileage reimbursement AND the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.

Requirements:
✔️ Valid driver’s license
✔️ Valid auto insurance
✔️ Reliable personal vehicle
✔️ Willingness to help your neighbors

If you’ve been looking for a flexible way to give back to Dodge County, this could be a great fit for you!

🚗 Your time. Your vehicle. Your flexibility. Your community. ❤️

💜 Every Purple Flag Represents a Story.

The Grandpa & Lucy Storybook Walk is now on display at the Dodge County Center for the Arts (DCCA) through September 30, 2026.

As you walk through the story, take a moment to notice the purple flags surrounding the display. Each flag represents one person in Dodge County living with dementia.

With an estimated 2,150 individuals in Dodge County living with dementia, these flags are more than numbers—they represent parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, friends, neighbors, and members of our community. 💜

The Storybook Walk offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and build greater understanding of what it means to live with dementia—and how important it is that people living with dementia and their care partners feel seen, supported, and included.

📖 Visit the Grandpa & Lucy Storybook Walk at DCCA between September 15–30.

💜 2,150 people. 2,150 stories. One caring community.

Please share this post to help spread awareness and invite others to take a walk, read the story, and pause for the people represented by each purple flag.
