Licensed PE or architect? DOT&PF wants you to lead its next wave of transportation research. 🛣️

The Research and Technology Transfer Manager will lead research and innovation for Alaska's transportation system, from drones and AI-supported data collection to bridge analysis and new tech pilots. Based in Juneau, Anchorage, or Fairbanks.

Pay ranges $4,133.60 to $4,974.40 biweekly depending on level and location. Applications close September 14, 2026.

Now Hiring! The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities has multiple Equipment Operator–Journey 1/2 positions open in Juneau with Southcoast Region Highways & Aviation, Maintenance & Operations, Southeast District.

Salary starts at $28.54 or $30.40 per hour (depending on Journey level 1 or 2)

Help us Keep Alaska Moving! You’ll perform equipment operations at Journey 1 & 2 levels, supporting maintenance of Alaska’s transportation infrastructure. You’ll be using a variety of light duty equipment to carry out essential maintenance activities and may operate heavy equipment in both training and full capacity situations. Work may include maintaining roads, airports, and other critical State assets, and shift work may be required as part of supporting year-round operational needs.
