Silver Lake, California

Silver Lake, California Located on the June Lake Loop in California's Eastern High Sierras. Located in California's Eastern High Sierras, at the base of Carson Peak.

The name stems from the color of the water on overcast days. Silver Lake is one of the four lakes that make up the June Lake Loop between Mammoth Lakes and Lee Vining. It is not far from Mono Lake, the historic old Ghost Town of Bodie, Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern entrance, Tioga Pass, of Yosemite National Park .
