Building Strength, Stability, and Self-reliance through Shelter
Junction City/Harrisburg/Monroe Habitat for Humanity has served 25 families, by building or rehabilitating homes, since it was affiliated in 1995. Junction City/Harrisburg/Monroe Habitat for Humanity volunteers from all walks of life and religious traditions work together as partners with families who need a hand up, not a handout. Donations of cash, materials, and services are essential to the affordability of our homes. The mortgage payments from home owners are used to build more homes. In addition, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, in downtown Junction City, supports our mission. Profits from the Junction City ReStore’s sales of new and gently used furniture, household goods, tools, appliances, and building materials, are used to build safe and affordable homes for our neighbors in need. Junction City/Harrisburg/Monroe Habitat for Humanity is pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, s*x, gender identity, s*xual orientation, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
