Think your yard has what it takes, or have a neighbor whose landscaping deserves some recognition? Nominate your favorite yard for a chance to be named one of our 4 September Yard of the Month winners and receive a $100 gift card!

How voting works: Head to our Yard of the Month webpage and click “Vote Here.” Submit the address of the yard you want to nominate. Each nomination counts as a vote, and the address with the most nominations/votes will be selected as the winner for its quadrant!

The Junction City and Geary County Commissions will meet jointly on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the county building located at 200 E. 8th St.

The meeting schedule includes:

6:00–6:45 PM: Executive Session regarding legal matters related to the Chamber of Commerce Master Agreement
6:45–7:00 PM: Recess
7:00–9:00 PM: Discussion of the Chamber of Commerce Master Agreement

The public discussion will begin at 7:00 PM in the Commission Chambers.

🚧 WATER MAIN MAINTENANCE ALERT 🚧

From Wednesday, August 12 through Wednesday, September 23, Junction City Public Works crews will be installing a new waterline in the area shown on the map.

- Work hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Residents within the affected area may experience reduced water pressure during work hours.
- Water pressure is expected to return to normal after work concludes each day.

The Junction City community is invited to come together for our September 11th Remembrance Ceremony, a free community event dedicated to honoring the victims, first responders, service members, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of 9/11.
