Meet Our New Eisenhower Eagle!
Weโre so excited to welcome another new member to the Eisenhower family this year! Help us get to know one of our newest Eagles!
Meet Our Eagle:
Lindsey Dougherty is entering her 10th year in education and her 1st year in Geary County! She and her husband, along with their 2-year-old son, moved to the area over the summer from Lenexa, KS. She spent her first 9 years in the Olathe School District, 3 years as a general education teacher and 6 years as a special education teacher. She has also taught competitive dance for the past 8 years!
Why Education?
She always knew she wanted to be a teacher! As a little girl, she would visit her uncleโs classroom when he was a teacher. Today, she loves helping children and watching them grow and make progress, on both their hardest days and best days.
A Few Favorites:
Color: Blue
Snack/Treat: Nachos, Puppy Chow & anything sweet!
Drink: Coke or Sweet Tea
Hobby: Puzzles & being a dance teacher
Favorite Activity: Playing games and being outside with her son
Fun Fact:
She has been teaching competitive dance for 8 years!
Outside of School:
When sheโs not at school, she loves spending time with her 2-year-old son, especially playing games and enjoying the outdoors. And with a little one who loves trains, dinosaurs, sports balls, and balloons, thereโs never a dull moment!
Welcome to Eisenhower, Mrs. Dougherty! Weโre so happy youโre here and canโt wait to see all the ways youโll make a difference in our school community!
