Time: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Our park pond will be stocked with trout, making it an excellent opportunity for kids to learn and enjoy fishing in a safe, supportive environment.

Fishing License Note:
Children under 17 do not require a fishing license.

Attention Anglers!

Glen Rose Town Lake has been stocked with about 1000 trout. Get out and catch some this weekend!

Reminder:
The daily bag limit is 5 fish per person per day, there is no minimum length limit on Rainbow Trout, anglers may use no more than 2 poles at a time, and anglers 17 years and older must have a fishing license.

This week, Amsler Park in McGregor, Bailey Lake in Burleson, Glen Rose Town Lake in Glen Rose, The Paluxy River at Dinosaur Valley State Park, and Hidden Vista Lake in Burleson were all stocked with plenty of rainbow trout. Good luck to all anglers who try and catch themselves a limit!

On the first Saturday in June of each year, everyone can fish recreationally without licenses or endorsements. This year, that is this Saturday, June 7th. Whether you're a first time fisherman or someone who hasn't been in a while, we hope you get outside and get the chance to catch a few.
If you already have your license, thank you for your support! Please consider inviting a friend or family member to join you.

Note: this is only for public waterbodies. You do not need a fishing license to fish private waterbodies enclosed on private property or in State Parks in TX. Good luck fishing!

Lake Whitney recently got a supplemental stocking of retired Smallmouth Bass Broodfish. The fish all ranged from 2lbs to 5lbs. All of these individuals were used as brood stock to produce smallmouth bass fingerlings for the whole state and now get a new forever home in the lake. Hopefully you get to find some out on the water. Good luck anglers!
