Today, the Joshua ISD Police Department joins law enforcement agencies and communities across the nation in recognizing Peace Officers Memorial Day.

This solemn day is set aside to honor peace officers who lost their lives in the line of duty while serving and protecting their communities. Their sacrifice is a reminder of the risk carried by those who wear the badge, and of the families, agencies, and communities forever impacted by that loss.

Each name remembered today represents a life of service, a family changed forever, and a legacy that continues through those who serve with honor and purpose. We pause with gratitude for their courage and with respect for the sacrifice they made.

As a school-based police department, our mission is centered on protecting students, staff, families, and visitors. We do not take that responsibility lightly. Days like today remind us that service is more than a uniform or a title. It is a commitment to protect others, even when doing so comes at great personal cost.

Today, we honor the fallen, support the families they left behind, and remember the legacy of service they carried.

We honor. We remember. We remain grateful.

We want to say thank you to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office for joining us at Career Day at North Joshua Elementary. We value the opportunity to partner with our local agencies and give our students a chance to learn and interact with those who serve our community.

A special thank you to North Joshua Elementary School for organizing a great event for our students.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Joshua ISD and the Joshua ISD Police Department for the opportunity to participate in this year’s Career Day. It was truly an honor for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office to engage with such an outstanding group of students and educators.

Our Deputies had a fantastic time connecting with students, sharing insight into the law enforcement profession, and hopefully inspiring the next generation of public servants. Events like these are invaluable in building positive relationships, fostering trust, and giving students a firsthand look at the dedication and service behind the badge.

Thank you again to Joshua ISD for the warm welcome, thoughtful organization, and commitment to preparing students for their future paths. We are grateful for the partnership and are already looking forward to being a part of next year’s event.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Spring Drug Take Back Event this past weekend.

With the support of our community and our partners at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), we safely collected and removed approximately 100 pounds of unused and expired medications.

Every pound collected is medication that will not be misused, accidentally ingested, or fall into the wrong hands. Efforts like this help reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse and make our homes and community safer.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to clean out their medicine cabinets and stop by. Your participation made a difference.

Thank you for helping us keep Joshua safe!
