City of Joshua, Texas - Municipal Government The City of Joshua is a Home Rule municipality located in the heart of Johnson County along Highway 174.

Joshua has a population of approximately 9,400 citizens and operates under the Council-Manager form of local government. The city utilizes social media as a tool to communicate but it does not serve as the official record of the city and is not monitored 24 hours a day.
