After 28 years of dedicated service, shaping young minds, and teaching the social studies class his students knew as "The Great American History Class," Mr. Ripley is officially retiring!

The Jordan Middle School Grade 7 students and staff sent him off with a celebration to remember including a custom wooden American Flag signed by his students, his students singing his favorite song, and capped off by an amazing surprise congratulatory video from one of his favorites, country music singer Lee Greenwood! When asked about his retirement and what he will miss the most, Mr. Ripley said, "I would like to thank the students of the Jordan Public Schools as it has been an absolute honor for me to bring you The Great American History Class throughout these years. It is a class that kind of took on a life of its own but I did also put a little of my own "Red, White and Blue Passion" into it and I do believe that The Great American History Class could have only happened right here at the Jordan Middle School. And so I will most certainly miss teaching The Great American History Class because the students at Jordan have truly been amazing, an A for America if you will, and whenever I am out and about and the conversation comes up about teaching at Jordan my response has always been the same: we have really good kids at Jordan!!!"

Congrats and good luck to the 12 student athletes that will be representing Jordan High School at the Track and Field State Meet on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, at St. Michael-Albertville High School! Join us as we send these athletes off to State this evening at JHS at 5:30pm!

The Jordan Middle School Bands finished the school year on a high note! 🎶🎼 Last week's final concerts were the perfect finale to an incredible year of making music, and students in grades 7 and 8 closed out their concert with a special song for retiring JMS teacher, Mr. Ripley!
