Congratulations to these amazing young men and women on their spectacular performance at the Mid-America Music Festival. The received a 1st division rating. We had 6 soloists who received a 1st division rating, 1 soloist received a 2nd division rating, and the trio earned a 1st division rating. They had an awesome day! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

What an incredible day we’ve had. These students are really putting in the work each day to have the best performance at contest on Saturday. HUGE thank you to Dr. Brandon Robinson for working with our students. They had a great rehearsal and had fun! 5 more days until contest. Let’s get better each day. 🙌🏻

MSSU HOMECOMING DAY PARADE. Huge congratulations to these incredible musicians! Joplin Middle School Bands received 1st place in the large group division. Thank you to all the amazing students, band parents, principals, staff, and MSSU for making this such a smooth, fun, and musically rewarding event.

Hello everyone! This post is for incoming freshman.

Details and forms about Band Camp are now on the joplinbands.org website. The “music” tab is where you can get access to several warmups and the Show Music, etc! Only Brass and Woodwind parts are complete for the show. They are working on the Percussion book now. There will also be a brief percussion audition on 8/1. Music for that will be on the website as well and it should be up soon.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer.

Congratulations to these outstanding young musicians! They all traveled to the Mid-America Music Festival to perform solos and as small ensembles. Every one earned first division ratings, which is the highest! 🙌🏻 They were all so excited. Job well done. You should all be very proud of your performances today! 🥳
